Due to the weather, we want to get everyone home safe and warm and early.
We need your assistance to get everyone off site safely.

As soon as activities conclude at midday please get your youth back to campsite- text your PLs if needed.
When we can see the roads are clear of kids, we will open roads to bring your cars in for pack up. Please do not move your car onto or around the site until you get a message via email or text.
Sadly we will not gather for a final parade but we hope everyone has had a boosted weekend!

Weather
We have had fantastic weather today but there is some rain on the radar coming for tomorrow. Activities are currently still running as planned. Please make sure those on off site are at the bus stop for 8am.
If any changes are made in the morning they will be on the website here
Rubbish Collection
Please remember that last rubbish collection was tonight and that all rubbish accumulated after that must be brought home with you.
Bump Out
Final parade will commence at 2pm at the campfire circle with the camp officially closing at approximately 2:30pm.
Cars will be allowed back on-site at approximately 3pm or as advised. Please remember to follow the instructions of the Police Scouters, drive at a walking pace, and obey the one-way roads.
Signing Out
All camp members will be signed off camp at the conclusion of the final parade. Therefore, you do not need to sign out at Admin unless you are leaving before 2pm

Friday:

Check-in will be open from 6:30pm to 11pm.
Saturday

Day visitors should arrive by 7:45am and check in at the Enviro Centre.

Buses will begin departing from 8am (refer to your ID card for your schedule).

The first rotation of activities will take place from 9am to 12noon.

Lunch will be from 12pm to 2pm.

Afternoon buses will start departing from 1pm.

The second rotation of activities will run from 2pm to 5pm.

Everyone should return to the campsite by 6pm.

Campfire at 7:30pm for approx. one hour at the Camp fire circle, followed by a movie.

Active8 will take place at 8pm if you and your Patrol would like to participate please register here. Active8 is a technology enhanced wide game.

Leader Allocation
Thank you for ensuring that all our youth members have an incredible weekend at Boost. We are thrilled to inform you that you have been allocated to the . Please plan to arrive at your designated activity location 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time, unless you have already been contacted by the activity team and alternate arrangements have been made. For those whose activities are off-site, please ensure that you are on the bus as scheduled. Your commitment and support are truly appreciated as we make this camp an unforgettable experience for our youth members.

Program Achievements

We want all youth to be able to tick off as many I-statements as possible over the weekend. We've updated our FAQs here to assist you with this, and we'll be supplying possible achievements to all participants.
Bump In - Friday, October 20
-
Gates will open at 5:30pm on Friday, October 20. Cars will be permitted to drive to your campsite for unloading. Police Scouters will direct traffic flow please follow arrows. We hope this information makes your arrival smooth and hassle-free.
Parking and Vehicle Guidelines

Cars must enter through either Gate 4 or Gate 8 depending on what side you are camping see our map and campsite allocations here www.boostyouradventure.com.au/campsites

Cars staying on site must be parked in designated carparks by 11pm to avoid being towed by Police Scouters. Trailers can remain on-site if they are safely parked.

Lanyards
-
For security purposes, it is mandatory for all attendees to wear their lanyards at all times throughout the camp. If, for any reason, you or someone in your Unit misplaces their lanyard, please promptly proceed to administration at the Environment Centre for assistance.
Saturday Only Attendance
-
If your youth members are only attending on Saturday, please ensure they arrive on-site by 8am. Departure will be from 6pm.
Canteen
-
Our canteen will be open over the weekend from the Messmate Shed. Please let your youth know to bring pocket money. There will be a limited exclusive blanket badge for sale so get in quick.
Campfires and Fire Safety
-
Campfires are permitted, but you must bring a fire drum. Fires are not allowed to be lit on the ground.

Additionally, each campfire must have two methods of extinguishing eg an extinguisher and a sand bucket.
Code of Conduct
Please see our camp Code of Conduct here please make sure you are familiar with it. All adults are of course to adhere to the Scouts Victoria Adult Code of Conduct.
Check in

Everyone on site must check in at the Environment centre from 6:30pm where they will collect their lanyard. This is to ensure we know who is on site if an emergency occurs.

Youth and Adult Unit Leaders

Each Unit/ campsite should allocate a Unit Leader Youth.

All Unit Leaders both adult and youth are to attend a briefing meeting on Friday night at the Campfire Circle at 8:30pm sharp

Pedestrian Crossing
For your safety, police Scouters will be stationed at Gate 4/9 to assist participants in safely crossing the road. Please note that this is the designated crossing point, and it is the only gate available for this purpose.
Scouts | Terrain
We will have a kiosk where youth members can update their OAS progressions and more. We will have youth members registration ID printed on their lanyards. Please make sure your youth know their password as we won’t be able to re set passwords for them. (All adult Leaders can reset passwords for all youth at their Group)
First Aid and Operoo

If any of your youth have anaphylaxis, please ensure they have at least two pens

While we're seeing more sunshine currently, we're also seeing an increase in asthma symptoms! The dry, dusty weather at Gilwell, combined with nature and the outdoors can have an impact. Please double check and update your Operoo to ensure that we have the most accurate information.

Asthma action plans should also be updated, and please make sure you have plenty of in-date medication to support any medical conditions. Including a spacer and Ventolin.
Leader Program Q and A

On Saturday evening, we are fortunate to have Australia's Champion in all things Scouting - Emma Watson. Emma will be able to answer any questions you may have on our Program or Scouts | Terrain. This will be open to any Leaders on-site who want assistance or just have a few questions answered. This will be held in Gembrook Scout Hall on Sycamore Drive at 8pm.

Need your HLTAID011 Certification for any OAS Stage 5? Boost has you covered! Camp with your Unit and complete the First Aid course on Saturday and then choose an OAS option for Sunday.
Paddling
Make a splash at Boost! Discover the joy of paddling with multiple Stage 1-3 OAS activities using canoes and stand-up paddle boards. Dive into a Stage 1 canoe introduction onsite and embark on higher stages offsite, gliding across the water with confidence!
Pioneering
(Axes, Arrows and Ninja)
Unleash your inner pioneer at Boost! Build incredible structures with the State Pioneering Team, progressing through multiple OAS levels up to Stage 9. Aim true with archery, test your ax-throwing skills, and conquer the thrilling Gilwell Ninja Course! (Stage 6+ is an entire weekend activity)
Vertical
Reach new heights at Boost! Conquer stages 1-6+ Vertical OAS, including high ropes, abseiling, bouldering, climbing, and the exhilarating flying fox. Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping experience that will elevate your adventure to new levels!
Sailing
Set sail for excitement at Boost! Master multiple OAS stages 1-4 in Sailing in an offsite adventure. Learn real sailing skills on and off the water, harness the power of the wind, and navigate your way to a memorable seafaring experience!

Citizens of Panem!
​
It is the time of the Reaping, where our lucky tributes will have the honour of competing for
the honour, riches and status of victory in this - the 76th Hunger Games.
Tributes will be put into teams before undergoing an intensive training regime to teach
them the skills that will be essential to ensuring their survival. They’ll learn, amongst other
skills, how to make an improvised shelter, light a fire, make water safe to drink and hunt for food before stepping into the Arena.
In the Arena they’ll face a series of challenges. Only the highest levels of teamwork,
endurance and initiative will be enough to secure victory. Under the watchful eyes of the
Gamemaker’s, the tributes will move from one Hunger Games-inspired task to another.
Victory will not come easily! May the odds be ever in your favour.
JOTA JOTI and STEM
Connect, communicate, and explore the world of technology at Boost! Engage in JOTA/JOTI activities, connecting with Scouts worldwide through various communication platforms. Immerse yourself in STEM wonders, from creating circuit boards to delving into robotics, VR, and cutting-edge technologies!

Alpine
Start your OAS Alpine Journey with an OAS Stage 1 introduction at the Gilwell Snow (Ice) fields.
You experience will include ice tobogganing and play.
Aqua
Dive into aquatic wonders at Boost! Unleash your inner explorer with multiple Stage 1-4 OAS, including snorkeling. Immerse yourself in offsite adventures at an indoor swimming pool and uncover the magic beneath the surface!
